Job summary

Forge Biologics in Columbus, OH, is seeking an entry-level Technician I for GMP manufacturing support in the AAV gene therapy program. You will handle cleaning and sanitization, tube-set prep, and inventory tasks within a cleanroom, gaining foundational experience across production support activities.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant operations, documentation accuracy, and continuous improvement while adapting to the fast-paced biotech environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience following SOPs or other protocols/work instructions.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use manufacturing software.
• Ability to work the hours necessary to support production and/or product transfer activities.
• Ability to work in loud noise environments and in PPE as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitization of GMP facilities and equipment per SOPs and cGMP.
• Assist in tube set preparation under supervision.
• Replenish cleaning and consumables supplies for manufacturing operations; set reorder points.
• Stock and maintain common-use items in the cleanroom.
• Monitor expiration dates and rotate/replace consumables.
• Maintain accurate documentation; review logbooks and related documents.
• Assist in troubleshooting minor equipment or process issues.
• Collaborate with GMP Manufacturing, QA, QC, and Product Development.
• Assist in equipment setup, inventory, and material requests.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
