Job summary

Forge Biologics, based in Columbus, OH, seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician I to perform general building maintenance and routine facility support. You’ll complete preventive tasks, perform repairs, maintain appearance, and assist senior staff on technical work in a GMP environment.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn facility systems while contributing to a growing biotech manufacturing site at The Hearth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ year in facilities maintenance or related field.
• Basic use of hand/tools and ability to perform routine repairs safely.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance including painting, drywall, caulking, minor carpentry.
• Install and repair office furnishings and facility equipment.
• Conduct grounds maintenance and exterior upkeep.
• Maintain CMMS records and document completed work.
• Assist senior technicians with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical tasks as needed.
• Support GMP requirements and maintain a safe, inspection-ready facility.
