Job summary

Simon is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems at Prien Lake Mall in Lake Charles, LA. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and safety compliance, with support for events and leasing activities.

The role requires 2–3 years of building maintenance experience and the ability to read plans and schematics. Physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; technical training preferred.
• 2–3 years building maintenance experience including carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing.
• Ability to read plans and schematics and convey information to management, tenants and contacts.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems using basic logic.
• Paint, electrical, plumbing and drywall skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility and troubleshoot/repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on interior/exterior areas including painting, drywall and lighting.
• Operate equipment for preventive maintenance and keep area clean.
• Assist Marketing and Local Leasing with events, carts setup and repair.
• Follow OSHA and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and maintain inventories and records.
