Job summary

Longmont United Hospital is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform maintenance, repairs, and safety testing across buildings and equipment to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

You will handle carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and general upkeep while delivering excellent service to patients and visitors, supported by a collaborative facilities team. Strong communication and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D required.
• 1–2 years general maintenance experience.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Strong English communication skills (written & spoken).
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Constructs and repairs building features and furniture.
• Performs general maintenance, repair, overhaul and construction duties.
• Performs minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Inspects and repairs Life Safety components (doors, exits, fire/smoke walls).
• Records preventive maintenance and inspections in CMMS.
• Completes work orders and area records accurately and timely.
