Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain and repair buildings, equipment, and grounds at Longmont United Hospital. You will perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing tasks and daily safety checks to ensure a safe, functional campus for patients and staff.

You will interact with patients, visitors, and colleagues, delivering strong service while upholding facility standards. A broad skill set across trades and attention to safety are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Broad-based maintenance skills across carpentry, electrical, plumbing.
• Strong customer service abilities when interacting with patients, visitors and staff.
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.
• Basic computer skills and documentation responsibilities in CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Constructs and repairs building woodwork, windows, ceilings, walls, floors, cabinetry and furniture.
• Performs general maintenance, repair, overhaul and construction duties.
• Performs minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Inspects and repairs Life Safety components (fire/smoke walls, doors, exits).
• Accurate completion of preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Document work orders, equipment and area records in CMMS.
