Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Specialist to support daily operations and maintenance of its Bristol, RI facilities, with occasional work at Cranston, RI and Quincy, MA. The role covers furniture moves, painting, carpentry, basic electrical work, and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities include maintenance of MEP systems, interfacing with contractors and vendors, AV setup, and documentation. Travel between sites is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in healthcare, academic, or manufacturing settings.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve facilities issues with analytical thinking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations and maintenance of physical facilities.
• Perform general handyman duties: furniture moves, painting, basic electrical, light construction, exterior cleanup.
• Conduct office furniture setups and carpentry; janitorial and general building maintenance.
• Repair building systems and equipment; basic plumbing.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and support MEP maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and operate site equipment.
• Work with outside contractors and vendors for repairs and security, cafeteria, media relations.
• Assist with AV setup for meetings and conferences.
• Maintain facility documentation and diagrams.
