Job summary

Billingsley Collection is seeking a Facilities Technician that blends housekeeping and porter duties to keep our apartment communities clean, safe, and inviting. You will maintain common areas, assist with move-ins, and support maintenance tasks to ensure residents have well-presented homes.

This on-site role requires attention to detail, reliability, and good communication with residents and the property team.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and proper chemical storage/use.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness/maintenance standards.
• Excellent customer service and ability to communicate with residents and management.
• Basic maintenance knowledge (light bulbs, minor plumbing).
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to wear company uniform.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning of common areas: hallways, breezeways, lobbies, elevators, and community spaces.
• Assist with new move-ins; ensure units are clean and ready for tenants.
• Maintain cleanliness of amenity areas with dusting, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and laundry facilities.
• Dispose of trash and recycling promptly and orderly.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks (light bulbs, minor plumbing) and check equipment."
• Maintain grounds, landscaping, and parking areas.
• Respond promptly to resident requests and enter service requests in company systems.
• Monitor property for safety hazards and report to management.
• Keep inventory of cleaning/maintenance supplies and restock as needed.
• Keep storerooms organized and up to safety standards.
• Learn and maintain pool systems according to standards.
• Report maintenance issues to relevant personnel.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness and maintenance in all areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
