Job summary

State of Colorado's Office of Adult, Aging and Disability Services operates the Colorado State Veterans Community Living Center – Rifle, a 89-bed skilled nursing facility on Colorado's western slope, serving veterans and eligible family members. The role covers grounds, equipment, and building maintenance to ensure a safe, clean environment for residents.

Four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required; background checks and residency

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned
• A combination of related education, formalized apprenticeship program, and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to four (4) years.

Responsibilities

• Grounds Keeping: mowing, trimming, fertilization, spraying, pruning, weeding, raking, and irrigation of trees, grounds-cover and foliage.
• Maintains exterior fencing, sidewalks, patios, pavilion and parking lots daily to ensure they are clean of debris and/or trash.
• Maintains schedules and preventative maintenance on all equipment per assignment and documents work per system requirements.
