Job summary

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is seeking a Technician IV to support the Rifle State Park Complex with grounds and facilities maintenance, safety, and public services. You will manage maintenance plans, supervise temporary staff and volunteers, and coordinate with park management and external partners.

The role requires strong organizational skills and adherence to state regulations. This position involves planning, budgeting, and maintaining records for multiple maintenance programs while ensuring

Qualifications

• At least four years of work experience in construction, carpentry, equipment/machinery operation, farming, ranching, range land management, wildlife/habitat management, resource management, landscaping, facility maintenance/management, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or related field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain park grounds, facilities, and infrastructure to ensure safety and quality for visitors.
• Oversee supervision of temporary maintenance staff, volunteers, and GOCO/contracted workers as needed.
• Prepare program files, budgets, purchasing, and fleet/maintenance records as part of park maintenance operations.
