Job summary

State of Colorado's Colorado State Veterans Community Living Center at Rifle seeks dedicated nursing staff to provide basic resident care in a safe, infection-controlled environment, including bathing, feeding, dressing, transferring, ambulating, and routine assessments.

Shift options include day, evening and night; CNA experience, a high school diploma or GED are required, with substitutions for CNA/LPN credentials.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED and at least one year of professional CNA experience.
• CNA certification or LPN license may substitute for education/experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care (bathing, feeding, dressing, transferring, ambulating, positioning, skin care).
• Perform basic resident assessments (vital signs, weights) and document care.
• Communicate findings to RN/LPN and maintain therapeutic milieu.
• Transport residents to appointments as needed and participate in staff meetings.
