Job summary

The Y in Central Maryland is seeking a Regional Facilities Maintenance Associate to perform routine on-site facility inspections and oversee the condition of facilities across a region. You will complete basic repairs including plumbing, lighting, drywall, tile, and furniture, and troubleshoot maintenance issues to support a safe, welcoming environment for members and the community.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience as a repair or maintenance worker.
Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic for measurements and unit conversions.
Ability to travel to assigned facilities.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Perform routine on-site facility inspections and monitor the condition of assigned facilities within a region; make or recommend repairs.
Complete basic repairs including plumbing, replacing light ballasts & bulbs, drywall repair, tile repair or replacement, furniture & toy repair; troubleshoot maintenance problems.
Contribute to the Y member experience by ensuring facilities are safe, clean and welcoming.
