Job summary

1X is building humanoid robots that work in any space humans exist with the mission to create an abundance of labor. The Facilities team keeps our San Carlos site running so the people building NEO can focus on their work without disruption.

As a Facilities Technician you will own day-to-day upkeep, safety and functionality of the San Carlos facility, including equipment and workspace, and you’ll perform routine repairs, basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry work, log tasks, and coordinate

Qualifications

2+ years of facilities maintenance experience with hands-on plumbing and carpentry.
Ability to perform basic electrical tasks safely (ballasts, fixtures, switches, outlets).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance across plumbing, carpentry and basic electrical.
Complete minor plumbing, carpentry and electrical work such as fixing leaks or repairing fixtures.
Conduct facility walkthroughs and safety inspections to catch issues before they become bigger problems.
Log completed work and track parts and supplies used.
Coordinate with outside vendors or contractors when a repair falls outside scope.
Keep the facility clean, organized and running smoothly day to day.
