Job summary

1X is seeking an Assembly Technician, Hands Team in San Carlos to build precision hand subassemblies for the NEO humanoid robot. You will work on tiny motors, encoders, PCBs, and harnesses, ensuring micron-level tolerances and quality in a high-volume setting.

You will own your station's output, logs, and deviations, and collaborate with engineering to push continuous improvement across shifts while maintaining safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in precision electromechanical assembly or similar
• Experience assembling miniature components: motors, encoders, PCBs
• Proficiency with precision hand tools and calibrated torque instruments
• Knowledge of ESD handling procedures and controlled-environment protocols
• Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts
• Professional-level English proficiency (written and verbal)

Responsibilities

• Assemble precision electromechanical subassemblies for NEO dexterity
• Assemble motors, encoders, PCBs, and harnesses to spec
• Maintain build logs and inspection data for every unit
• Hit production targets while upholding quality standards
• Identify and document defects and deviations at the workstation
• Drive continuous improvement with engineering and the opposite shift
