Job summary

nVent is seeking a Facilities Coordinator for the Millington, MD site to support safety programs and maintenance activities. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience with inspections, preventive maintenance, training, and work order coordination, fostering growth in facilities, maintenance, or safety.

You will help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment and coordinate with technicians and contractors on maintenance projects, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and ability to learn safety, maintenance, and facility management systems.
• Strong organization and communication skills with safety-focused mindset.
• Experience in facilities, maintenance, manufacturing, construction, or related field is preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility, production area, and safety inspections and help resolve safety and maintenance concerns.
• Support preventive maintenance, building repairs, fire and life-safety activities, and facility improvement projects.
• Assist with safety training and safety recordkeeping, and track corrective actions.
• Monitor building conditions and identify maintenance or repair needs.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel and outside contractors as needed.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and maintenance areas are organized and maintained.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and facility enhancement projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
