Job summary

nVent is hiring a Maintenance Technician to upkeep and repair production and facility equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will install, align, and service machinery, perform preventive maintenance, and repair issues to minimize downtime.

Forklift operation may be required, along with basic computer usage for records. Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of mechanical maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year mechanical maintenance experience preferred.
• Manufacturing maintenance background helpful.
• Experience with computers and basic software helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, and repair production and facility equipment.
• Construct, install and support equipment in production areas.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Repair equipment as needed and manage spare parts inventory.
• Move, align, and service production machines as requested.
• Diagnose mechanical malfunctions and implement repairs.
• Perform emergency repairs to limit downtime.
• Safely observe all safety rules and report hazards.
