Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Facility Technician to support Facilities and Maintenance operations at the Perrysburg campus. The role involves day-to-day maintenance of building equipment, with emphasis on electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.

Candidates should have a technical background with 3–5 years in manufacturing or related experience, knowledge of MAXIMO CMMS, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. This is a full-time on-site position in Perrysburg, OH.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with manufacturing experience.
• Trade experience in electrical or mechanical fields with 3 years in manufacturing.
• Associate degree in a technical discipline with 3 years in manufacturing.
• Must be mechanically inclined with solid knowledge of facilities systems.
• Experience with building utility power, air compressors, generators, plumbing, and fire systems.
• Able to detect and resolve problems using strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of MAXIMO CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Interface with departments, contractors, and suppliers.
• Adhere to safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Assist with office moves and campus furniture changes.
• Maintain Perrysburg building and grounds facilities.
• Assist with installation of signage and safety equipment on campus.
• Perform mechanical and plumbing work with inspectors and contractors.
• Handle routine maintenance and follow up on work orders.
• Perform other assignments as required.
