Job summary

CBRE is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to care for small to medium-sized buildings and industrial systems. The role involves preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and assisting with equipment installations, all within the Engineering and Technical Services function.

The position requires 1–2 years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1–2 years of related experience; combination of experience and education considered.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in applying work.
• Strong communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
• Conduct routine inspections, diagnose problems, and repair as needed.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review work orders and track completion with available systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect installations for code and safety compliance.
• Follow defined procedures to deliver outputs under supervision.
