Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain a clean, safe environment for guests and staff. The role collaborates with departments and contractors to set up events and performs teardown duties, emphasizing strong customer service and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Previous facility maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains public and private areas (restrooms, floors, windows, carpets).
• Sets up and tears down event spaces (tables, chairs, lecterns, stage, AV equipment).
• Maintains custodial supplies and inventories.
• Follows safety laws for handling chemicals and equipment.
• Operates cleaning machinery (floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums) and ladders as needed.
• Assists with snow removal and supports staff to serve visitors.
