Job summary

The Neighborhood at Vestavia Hills in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Maintenance Tech / Facilities Assistant to join their team and support daily building operations. You will assist the Facilities Director with routine maintenance, perform minor repairs, coordinate with vendors and ensure clean, accessible resident spaces.

Qualifications

• One (1) year job related experience

Responsibilities

• Review the maintenance log daily and complete tasks
• Inspect furniture and schedule detailed cleanings with vendors
• Perform minor repairs such as faucet components, door hardware, toilets, lighting
• Hang bulletin boards, pictures, coat hooks in resident suites and offices
• Liaise with Facilities Director, Executive Director and external vendors
• Touch up paint, move furniture, transport materials for disposal
• Follow procedures for cleaners and power equipment safety
• Notify supervisor of major repairs or additions to systems
