Job summary

Sagora Senior Living in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to aid the Maintenance Director in keeping our community and equipment in good working order.

You will perform light carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical tasks, and respond to work orders to maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents. This is a full-time role requiring reliability and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months in a residential maintenance role.
• Experience with drywall, plumbing, painting, and lighting fixtures.
• Ability to lift 50–100 lbs and perform after-hours on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders assigned by the Maintenance Director.
• Maintain community facilities, grounds, HVAC, and equipment.
• Inspect building, grounds, and equipment daily to identify hazards and resolve them.
• Keep preventative maintenance records for each residential unit and update the work order system.
