Job summary

gategroup is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support a 24/7 facilities operation in the Denver area. You will perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks across mechanical, electrical, and life-safety systems, oversee contractors, and ensure safe, high-quality work.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of related experience; lifting up to 75 lbs and outdoor work up to 50% are part of the job. Competitive benefits accompany the hourly wage of $26–$28.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to obtain Airport Transport Authority badge.
• Ability to obtain Customs Seal for Airport Transport Authority badge (if required).
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, oversees and may assist assigned contractors ensuring safety, quality and cleanliness of work performed.
• Performs building repairs including drywall, paint, wall-covering, ceiling tile and grid, carpet and tile flooring, door and door hardware.
• Performs plumbing repairs including faucets, sinks, urinals, toilets, drains, and valves.
• Performs exterior repairs including irrigation, signs, fence, roof, and metal siding.
• Performs daily site inspections of the facilities and mechanical equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Performs preventive maintenance to building systems and equipment as assigned.
• Provides a report to the Maintenance Coordinator noting any problems found.
• Performs HVAC repairs and related equipment maintenance.
• Performs electrical repairs, such as replacing lamps, ballasts, switches, and wiring.
• Manages work requests, creates spreadsheets for inventory of tools and supplies.
• Manages office furniture reconfigurations and moves.
