Summary of Position

The Facilities Technician performs day-to-day service and maintenance on cardio and strength equipment. They also handle general maintenance repairs within the physical plant of each assigned club location to deliver an exceptional member experience.

• Successfully repairs out-of-order equipment as requested by clubs, with sign-off of completion by club staff.
• Communicates daily with the Facilities Manager regarding progress and obstacles.
• Achieves results on the KPI scorecard.
• Manages all aspects of the helpdesk ticketing system for assigned clubs.
• Performs thorough club walk-throughs for preventative maintenance and checks supplies and equipment.
• Maintains and updates work schedules using Microsoft Outlook.
• Assists with construction, presales, re-equips, extractions, and installations as needed.
• Maintains company vehicle inventory and cleanliness.
• Documents work on warranted equipment, targeting at least 10% of time toward warranty work.
• Supports other Facilities team members as needed.

Experience, Qualifications & Competencies

• Mechanical and electrical service background preferred.
• Experience in a fitness club environment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Dependable, responsible, and proactive.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Physical Demands

• Repetitive motions with hands and wrists.
• Walking, bending, lifting up to 75 lbs, and squatting.
• Occasional exposure to toxic chemicals.
• Good hearing and voice projection.
• High visual demand for reading documents and screens.
