Job summary

UNMC in Omaha, NE is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform preventive maintenance, respond to work orders, and execute minor renovations across HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and temperature controls.

Qualifications

• Formal training in facilities management or related trade.
• 4 years combined education/experience in related field.
• 3 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, electrical, or related trade.
• Requires a Valid Driver’s License.

Position Summary

The Facilities Technician will successfully complete preventive maintenance, work orders, and minor renovations to include tasks in HVAC , refrigeration, plumbing, temperature controls, and other duties as assigned.
Will be capable of understanding the diagnostic testing and analysis of the systems referenced above and comfortable with making assigned repairs necessary for normal operations.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required Education:

Relevant coursework/specialized training or equivalent

Formal training in facilities management or related field or completion of an approved trade program in any of the following trade programs: HVAC , plumbing, refrigeration, lighting, temperature controls, electrical, or related trade.
