Job Summary
The Facilities Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance, repair, and continuous operation of the facility infrastructure, utilities, equipment, and building systems.
Key Responsibilitie
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, compressed air, and other building utilities.
- Monitor and maintain facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve facility related issues in a timely manner.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
- Support installation, relocation, and setup of equipment, workstations, and facility infrastructure.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain facility grounds, common areas, and production support spaces as required.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
- Support facility projects, renovations, expansions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the management of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and facility inventories.
- Participate in audits and support corrective and preventive actions related to facility systems.
Qualifications
Education
- Technical Degree, associate degree, or vocational certification in Facilities Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a related technical role.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and compressed air systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and work order systems.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance best practices.
Location: Cayey, P.R
Pay Details: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour
