Job summary

Our client in the life sciences sector in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their Lab Operations team. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on critical facility systems and support environmental controls to ensure optimal research conditions.

This on-site role requires 2-5 years of facility maintenance experience, knowledge of electrical/HVAC/plumbing, strong organizational skills, vendor management, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in facility maintenance or related field.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and facility infrastructure systems.
• High school diploma, GED, or trade school graduate.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on critical life sciences facility systems.
• Monitor and support environmental control systems to ensure optimal research conditions.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for routine and emergency repairs.
• Support building operations including inspections, carpentry, locksmithing, and space reconfigurations.

As a Facilities Technician, you will be part of the Facilities Operations supporting laboratory and research environments. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:Cambridge, MA

Pay Range: $40-43 per hour
