Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Support Technician to help ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of our laboratory spaces. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-supported work environment for our research teams. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the go-to contact for lab operations, coordinating with scientists, facilities, and operations teams to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
- Manage equipment service requests, coordinate repairs, and ensure timely sourcing of lab supplies and consumables.
- Oversee waste disposal processes, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental protocols.
- Monitor freezer and storage systems, respond to alarms, and maintain documentation.
- Lead periodic cleanouts, inventory updates, and calibration efforts to keep lab spaces organized and compliant.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and assist with follow-up actions to address findings.
- Support onboarding and offboarding of lab personnel, including workspace setup and access coordination.
- Interface with vendors to maintain stock levels of essential supplies and consumables.
- Maintain shared lab areas, ensuring cleanliness, functionality, and readiness for daily use.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in operations, facilities coordination, or technical support (lab experience a plus but not required).
- Familiarity with workplace safety and compliance practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, service-minded approach.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Additional Information
- Schedule: Full-time, first shift, Monday–Friday
- Flexibility: Candidates must be adaptable to schedule changes, including potential shift changes, weekend work, and overtime as needed
- Location: Candidates living within a commutable distance of Cambridge, MA are encouraged to apply
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $22.00–$26.00
- Annual Salary: $45,760–$54,080

Hiring Process
