Job summary

Crossland Construction is seeking an experienced Facility Service Technician to oversee day-to-day operations of a secure office building. This hands-on role will manage HVAC, boiler and chiller systems, and monitor building automation (BAS/BMS) to maintain occupant comfort and safety.

You will support budgeting, vendor management, and capital planning, while ensuring safety, code compliance, and security procedures in a government-occupied facility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial facilities or building maintenance.
• Strong hands-on experience with HVAC, boilers, and chillers.
• Familiarity with BAS/BMS building automation systems.
• Able to read technical manuals and equipment documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC, boiler, and chiller systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Monitor and adjust BAS/BMS controls for comfort and efficiency.
• Oversee vendors/contractors and ensure quality of service.
• Assist with facilities budgeting and cost tracking.
• Support safety, code compliance, and security in a government-occupied building.
• Serve as primary contact for occupants on facility issues.
