Job summary

SBM is seeking a Facilities Support Technician in Northridge, CA to support Cork & White, Lock & Key, Furniture Warehouse, Signage, and Conference Center Services. The role requires ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and operate basic hand tools.

Responsibilities include room setup, furniture handling, board installation, inventory checks, and coordinating with warehouse and O&M teams. The position offers daytime Saturday-Wednesday shifts with $18.00-$19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED with 6 months – 1 year of experience or equivalent.
  • May be required to have a valid driver’s license.

  • Respond to requests for room setups per daily schedule.
  • Deliver and setup additional furniture as necessary.
  • Knockdown and properly store furniture as necessary.
  • Maintain daily tracking log sheet.
  • Install cork and white boards and related fixtures.
  • Track and report time spent on work orders and notify relevant supervisors.

## Facilities Support TechnicianApplylocations: NORTHRIDGE, CAtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR104298# **Title:**Facilities Support Technician# **Job Description:****Job Overview**The Facilities Support Tech will be responsible for supporting all departments including Cork & White, Lock & Key, the Furniture Warehouse, the Signage Department, and Conference Center Services as needed. This individual will be supplied with their own tools and equipment. The technician must be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure and be able to meet deadlines with high accuracy.**Roles & Responsibilities**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.* Respond to requests for room setups per daily schedule* Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules* Deliver and setup additional furniture as necessary* Knockdown and properly store furniture as necessary* Maintain daily tracking log sheet* Maintain clean working area* Installing new cork and white boards* Removal, relocation and reinstallation of cork and white boards* Removal and disposal of damaged cork and white boards* Hanging of pictures, plaques, and banners* Installation of under the desk keyboard tray* Wall mounting of large or oversized white and cork boards* Cleanup of work area after installation* Track and report time spent on work orders* Hang other customer items as necessary* Respond to requests for materials in support of facilities maintenance contract personnel and vendors* Locate requested material in automated inventory system* Initiate system query and clarifies proper selection of item with requestor as necessary* Verify that the queried item is available by locating it in the warehouse* Pick material for distribution* Assemble furniture i.e., Peds, desks, round tables* Operate a pallet jack, forklift, or flatbed when appropriate to pick, store, and transport material* Coordinate with Warehouse Lead, O&M Supervisor and purchasing to generate parts orders* Notify CAS, Warehouse Lead and O&M Supervisor when parts come in via electronic mail* Receive material, check material against purchase order, packing slip, or bill of lading* Other duties as assigned**Qualification**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.* **Education and/ or Experience** - High School Diploma / GED with 6 months – 1 year of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.* **Certificates, Licenses, Registrations** - May be required to have a valid driver’s license.**Compensation and Shift:**Saturday - Wednesday, 6:30AM - 3:30PM.$18.00-$19.00 per hour**Additional Requirements**Painting experience is a requirement (minimum 1 year). Must be able to work independently on weekends. Hand tool experience desired - can be trained on the job.
