Job summary

Advanced Building Maintenance Inc. Roseville, CA is seeking a dependable Floor Technician to provide floor care and custodial services across client facilities.

You will perform carpet extraction, stripping, waxing, buffing, and general cleaning tasks. Flexibility with hours and reliable transportation are required; a background check and valid driver’s license are needed. 6 months to 1 year of floor experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • 6 months to one year of related floor experience and/or training.
  • Must pass a background check and have a valid Driver’s License with MVR check.
  • Must be flexible in schedule and hours, with reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to work independently with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform floor care tasks: extract carpets, scrub and sealed floors, wax and buff hard surfaces.
  • Clean and maintain carpets, floors, restrooms, corridors and common areas.
  • Assist with custodial duties and general site upkeep as assigned by Supervisor.

Job Title: FLOOR TECHNICIAN1. Must be flexible with hours and availability to work shifts as needed2. Dependable and Punctual – you must show up for your assigned shift and as needed – this would include having reliable transportation3. Frequently reports accomplishments and issues utilizing our Mission Control reporting systemPosition Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential duties and responsibilities include the following; however other duties may be assigned.FLOOR WORK:When floor work is requested, the following duties may be required:Completes major maintenance & periodic services as well as TAG work at all accounts such as:Extract CarpetBonnet CarpetsScrub hard surface floorsStrip Hard surface floorsWax/seal hard surface floorsScrub/clean groutBuffing of floorsMaintenance of hard floors throughout the facility (hallways, break areas, cafeteria, restrooms and laboratories)General maintenance of carpeted floors.Sealing of floorsEquipment that may be used: Buffers, Scrubbers, wet vacuums, carpet extractors, ride-on scrubber, power washer, rollers, brushes, & scrapersCUSTODIAL WORK:As needed, when coverage is required for various facilities, janitorial and other duties will be performed as follows:JOB DESCRIPTION:Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.Cleans restrooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas.Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor.Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.Dusts furniture and equipment.Polishes metalwork.Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.Washes windows, door panels, and sills.Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.Transports trash and waste to disposal area.Replenishes bathroom supplies.Replaces light bulbs.Transports small equipment or tools between departments.Sets up tables and chairs in auditorium or hall.Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, stairs and office space.Cleans snow and debris from sidewalk.Special projects as assigned by SupervisorEducation/Experience Requirements6 months to one year of related floor experience and/or trainingMust pass a background check, have a valid Driver’s License and pass an MVR checkMust be flexible in schedule, must be flexible in hours, days needed to work and availabilityMust have reliable transportationSupervisory ResponsibilitiesCompetenciesTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies which align with the Six Critical Success Factors:Quality/Quantity - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality.
