Job summary

Smith+Naphew in Memphis is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator II to help keep our manufacturing operations running efficiently, safely, and compliantly.

You will manage maintenance systems, coordinate preventive maintenance activities, maintain critical equipment records, and support continuous improvement initiatives that deliver high quality products to patients, and participate in audits to ensure GMP compliance.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a related field and 3 years of experience in purchasing, customer service, administration, or operations support; or 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills.
  • Must be proficient with general PC skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review data, identify issues, and support informed decision making.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices, support purchase order activities, and maintain maintenance related records.
  • Coordinate and generate preventive maintenance work orders through the maintenance management system.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records for manufacturing equipment in compliance with GMP, OSHA, TOSHA, ISO 9000, and company requirements.
  • Analyze maintenance data and ensure equipment information within the database remains current and accurate.
  • Support internal and external audits by researching maintenance records and providing documentation for corrective actions.
  • Develop and distribute maintenance reports and metrics for leaders across the organization.
  • Track equipment installations, relocations, maintenance history, and electrical requirements across multiple facilities.
  • Coordinate and monitor external vendor services to ensure quality and performance expectations are met.
  • Partner with Finance, Validation, and Maintenance leadership to maintain equipment information and documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance departmental efficiency and quality.

As a Maintenance Coordinator II, you will be responsible for managing maintenance systems, coordinating preventive maintenance activities, maintaining critical equipment records, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that help deliver high quality products to the patients we serve.

What will you be doing?

What will you need to be successful?

Associate degree in a related field and 3 years of experience in purchasing, customer service, administration, or operations support; or 5 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills. Must be proficient with general PC skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form. Lift 25 pounds. Strong analytical skills with the ability to review data, identify issues, and support informed decision making. Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other commonly used business software applications. Valid driver's license required. Minimum 3 years of experience working with computerized maintenance management systems, preventive maintenance software, or similar business applications (preferred). Knowledge of maintenance practices, facility systems, HVAC equipment, filtering systems, building maintenance requirements, and safety standards (preferred). U.S. Sponsorship or H1B transfer is not available for this role.
