Job summary

Carroll County Government is hiring a Facilities Supervisor to plan and lead facilities staff across county-owned buildings. You will supervise maintenance activities, manage preventative programs, and ensure safe operation of equipment.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and adherence to safety standards in a multi-building environment. You will work with the Facilities Manager, oversee repairs and projects, and mentor staff to enhance performance.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 5+ years related experience.
• Minimum 3+ years supervisory experience; leadership demonstrated.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Master Plumber or Master Electrician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate repairs, projects, and preventative maintenance with focus on electrical and plumbing assignments.
• Plan repairs, projects, and preventative maintenance at County owned facilities.
• Assist in planning and accessing future construction, renovation, and maintenance projects.
• Manage day-to-day operations via CMMS system.
• Ensure materials available to repair parts.
• Adhere to safety rules; maintain clean, safe work environment.
• Review budgets; reallocate resources when necessary.
• Implement standards; lead team training on best practices.
• Mentor team; foster welcoming workplace.
• Maintain transparent communication within organization.
• Lead team operations to meet laws; coordinate with legal counsel.
• May perform duties in supervisor's absence.
