Carroll County Government in Westminster, MD is seeking a Building Technician III to perform maintenance and repairs on county facilities. Under the supervision of a Facilities Supervisor, you will apply carpentry and maintenance skills to various building components in compliance with standards.

The position is full-time (40 hours/week) at the Maintenance Center with a CDL and DOT physical required. Overtime and on-call work may be needed, and safety and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three+ years of related experience.
• CDL Class B and DOT physical card required.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate building maintenance and repairs including carpentry projects such as drywall and roof repair.
• Operate a full range of construction tools and equipment including routers, planers, joiners, saws, and basic power tools.
• Perform job assignments independently while providing general oversight and guidance to other building maintenance staff.
• Coordinate work of other employees and assist supervisor with employee training.
• Assist with snow removal at County facilities as needed.
• Follow all established safety rules and regulations. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Foster collaboration and provide learning opportunities. Facilitate a supportive work environment.
• Independently ensure all work is complete and timely to achieve department goals. Review work of others to ensure that organizational standards are met.
• Exhibit integrity, ethics, and fiscal responsibility.
