Job summary

The Jewish Community Center in Chesterfield, MO is seeking an Assistant Manager – Facilities to support the Building and Grounds Department on the Marilyn and Sam Fox Campus. You will coordinate staff, monitor facility systems including HVAC and pools, and ensure timely maintenance, custodial, and event setups.

You will supervise and schedule teams, address safety concerns, work with outside contractors, and help deliver exceptional member experiences while maintaining inventory and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; related college or technical degree preferred.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience in a maintenance or related department.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing and timecard review for Maintenance, Operations and Custodial staff.
• Visually inspect buildings, systems and equipment and generate work orders as needed.
• Manage after-hours events coverage and coordinate with contractors and vendors.
• Maintain inventories and monitor purchases, deliveries, and expenditures.
• Address safety hazards and regulatory concerns and communicate updates to affected departments.
