Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, gym and grounds, ensure setups and breakdowns are completed efficiently, and train staff. You will supervise across multiple shifts, manage timecards, inventories, and report maintenance needs while promoting a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for the community.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising housekeeping staff across multiple shifts.
• Ability to schedule staff for events and after-hours work.
• Knowledge of facility maintenance equipment and cleaning chemicals.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate room set-up and breakdowns.
• Perform routine building inspections.
• Ensure the facility and grounds are clean and sanitary daily.
• Assist with cleaning, set ups, and other housekeeping duties as needed.
• Schedule staff for special events and after-hours activities.
• Maintain a flexible schedule supervising morning and evening operations.
• Manage timecards for department personnel.
• Manage inventory and ordering of supplies and equipment.
• Report repairs needed to facilities and equipment.
• Assist Plant Operations Senior Director with scheduling staff.
• Communicate staff concerns to the director.
• Coach and develop housekeeping staff; promote teamwork.
• All other housekeeping-related activities.
