Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance, operations, and condition of owned and leased properties.
  • Supervise, support, and train direct reports.
  • Coordinate daily operations of the Facilities Department.
  • Provide timely performance feedback and evaluations for staff.
  • Manage coaching, corrective action, and discipline per policy.
  • Schedule and oversee contractors at all company locations.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance, repairs, and special projects.
  • Perform hands-on repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Monitor schedules and approve bi-weekly payroll for staff.
  • Purchase materials and equipment within policy and budget.
  • Optimize space utilization and furniture layouts.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Develop strategies to reduce energy costs across properties.

Job description

  • Oversee the maintenance, operations, and overall condition of all owned and leased properties
  • Supervise, support, and train direct reports
  • Oversee the daily operations and workflow of the Facilities Department
  • Provide timely, constructive performance feedback and evaluations for direct reports
  • Manage employee coaching, corrective action, and discipline in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Schedule, coordinate, and oversee contractors performing work across all company locations and properties
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate general maintenance, repairs, and special projects as needed
  • Perform hands‑on repairs and preventative maintenance at all company locations and residential properties
  • Monitor direct reports’ schedules and hours worked; review and approve bi‑weekly payroll
  • Purchase building materials, maintenance supplies, equipment, and furniture in accordance with company policy and budget guidelines
  • Optimize space utilization by managing room assignments, facility reconfigurations, and furniture layouts
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize energy consumption and reduce utility costs across all properties
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Professional certification in facilities management or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in facilities management, preferably within a multi‑site business environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Strong analytical thinking, creative problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software applications
  • Ability to effectively use computer applications including asset management software, automated work order systems, and Excel for tracking, reporting, and spreadsheet development
  • Daily travel to different worksites, as needed.
