Job summary

The University of Maryland's Dining Services seeks an Assistant Director of Facilities to lead maintenance, repair, construction, renovation, and facilities management across residential and retail operations. You will oversee budgeting, labor, and financial metrics while ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of facilities, including production facilities, warehouses, and fleet systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Seven years of facilities, operations, construction, or maintenance experience.
Two years supervising or managing professional staff.
Knowledge of building systems.
Knowledge of building operations requirements.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.
Ability to use CAD software.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for maintenance, repair, construction, renovation, and facilities management.
Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of residential, retail, and support facilities.
Oversee budgeting, labor, and financial metrics for the facilities operation.
Develop long-range facilities strategies and manage multimillion-dollar budgets and procurements.
Lead and develop facilities management staff and coordinate with campus stakeholders.
