Job summary

Smardt Chiller Group is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to oversee operations, maintenance, and readiness for a new PA manufacturing site. The role supports startup activities, ensures a safe and production-ready environment, and coordinates vendors during ramp-up.

You will manage cross-functional facilities activities, lead 5S and Lean initiatives, and collaborate with HR, engineering, and operations to optimize workspace and utilities for manufacturing needs.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of facilities management experience in manufacturing.
• Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
• Experience with CMMS and building management systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage the PA site startup war room and coordinate facility buildout activities.
• Coordinate IT, telecommunications, security systems, and production-readiness ahead of manufacturing ramp-up.
• Oversee daily facility operations including cleaning, maintenance, grounds keeping, and waste management.
• Manage contracts with facility service providers and equipment vendors; track SLAs and budgets.
• Ensure safety compliance with OSHA standards and maintain required certifications.
• Collaborate with HR, engineering, and operations on workspace planning and onboarding needs.
