Job summary

Monarch Casino Resort Spa in Black Hawk, Colorado is hiring a Facilities Painter I-III to prepare surfaces, mix and apply paints, and finish with varnishes in a luxury gaming and hospitality setting. You will read blueprints, set up scaffolding, and ensure meticulous surface prep for durable finishes.

The position requires solid painting knowledge, ability to work safely on elevated surfaces, and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as a painter.
• Excellent knowledge of painting materials and how to select, mix and apply them.
• Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques.
• Aptitude in using brushes, caulking guns and related tools.
• High school diploma and apprenticeship completion are required.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the work required.
• Prepare walls and surfaces on-site, including scaffolding setup and fixture protection.
• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material and mix paint to proper color/texture.
• Paint surfaces with required tools and apply varnish or finishes as directed.
• Calculate costs and assist with price negotiations as needed.
