Monarch Casino Resort Spa - Black Hawk is seeking a Facilities Painter I, II, III to join our team. This full-time role offers a salary between $28 and $32 per hour and involves responsibilities such as preparing surfaces, painting, and applying finishes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a painter.
• Excellent knowledge of painting materials and how to select, mix, and apply them.
• Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques.
• Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns, etc.).
• Good basic math skills.
• Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders, etc.
• Conscientious with great attention to detail.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the work necessary.
• Make on-site preparations such as scaffolding.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping and removing old paint.
• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material.
• Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color.
• Paint surfaces with various tools.
• Apply varnish and other finishes.
• Calculate costs and negotiate prices.
• Follow all health and safety precautions.

• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
• Apply varnish and other finishes
• Calculate costs and negotiate prices
• Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions
