Job summary

Monarch Casino Resort Spa in Black Hawk, Colorado seeks an AV/IT Technician to install PC hardware, assist with networking hardware, and perform routine maintenance. The role requires hands-on support, virus protection, licensing compliance, and coordination with vendors.

You will help with event setups, room arrangements, and cabling, contributing to a high-service hospitality environment. The position is full-time, Sunday through Wednesday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with benefits including

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in a high paced environment.
• Familiar with TCP/IP networking concepts.
• Familiar with Windows, Unix, OS400 operating systems.
• Experience with desktop applications and licensing compliance.

Responsibilities

• Install PC hardware for end users as directed by supervisor.
• Assist in installation of networking hardware and software.
• Perform routine backups and other operational tasks.
• Maintain and troubleshoot desktop hardware, printers, and related equipment.
• Install service releases and perform routine maintenance on desktop apps.
• Implement virus protection and security measures.
• Provide basic training on hardware and software usage to users.
• Coordinate with hardware/software vendors when needed.
• Maintain licensing information and ensure compliance at the user level.
• Document end user hardware/software installation, maintenance, licensing, and connectivity.
• Assist in room setup for events and pull low voltage cables.

Assists in the installation of advanced networking hardware and software under the direction of the system administrator or helpdesk supervisorPerforms routine tasks like backups or other operational tasks as definedPerforms preventative maintenance on PC’s, printers, and other hardware. Installs service releases and performs routine maintenance on desktop applications.Implements virus protection, detection, and eliminationTroubleshoots basic hardware and software problems for end usersProvides basic training on hardware and software useFacilitates assistance from hardware and software vendors when necessaryMaintains licensing information for all desktop applications and operating systems.
