Overview

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is seeking an experienced Facilities Specialist II to join our Lincoln, NE team. We are expanding rapidly and are looking for motivated, creative individuals to support and help shape our organization during this growth.

GD-OTS provides reliable, affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With over 60 years of expertise, GD-OTS designs, develops, manufactures, and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes, and fuel tanks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure buildings, equipment, and grounds are properly maintained and functioning.
• Oversee daily maintenance to keep property in good condition.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform repairs or coordinate with outside contractors.
• Act as liaison between employees and outside contractors for specialized problems.
• Maintain records of equipment performance and maintenance.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment.
• Interact with tenants to fulfill lease requirements and respond to service requests.

Manager Specific Requests:

• Utilize provided software to order and manage inventory of spare parts for equipment.
• Generate reports for metrics and department operation statistics.
• Stock spare parts and maintain systems to support reliable machine operation.
• Review and ensure accuracy of routine equipment documentation.
• Support equipment implementation and startup with critical documentation processes.
• Manage changes within the CMMS (Maintenance Software) to maintain accuracy and support equipment reliability.
• Assist in scheduling and assigning Work Orders using CMMS, collaborating with Maintenance Supervisor and Team Leads.
• Be familiar with the operation of CMMS and Spare Part Management Software.
• Maintain critical tracking spreadsheets to support reliable equipment operation and project success.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Facilities, Maintenance, or related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Facilities, Maintenance, or related field.
