Overview


General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is looking for an experienced Facilities Specialist II to join our Lincoln, NE organization. We are expanding rapidly and seeking motivated and creative individuals to support and shape our growth.

GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With over 60 years of expertise, GD-OTS designs, develops, manufactures, and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes, and fuel tanks.


Major Position Responsibilities

  • Ensure buildings, equipment, and grounds are maintained and functioning properly.
  • Oversee daily maintenance to keep property in good condition.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues or coordinate maintenance with outside contractors.
  • Act as liaison between employees and contractors for specialized problems.
  • Maintain records of equipment performance and maintenance.
  • Draft and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Interact with tenants to fulfill lease requirements and respond to service requests.

Manager Specific Requests:

  • Use software to order and manage inventory of spare parts.
  • Order and manage inventory of spare parts for equipment.
  • Generate reports for metrics and departmental statistics.
  • Stock spare parts and maintain stocking systems for reliable machine operation.
  • Review and adjust equipment documentation for accuracy.
  • Support equipment implementation and startup documentation processes.
  • Manage CMMS (Maintenance Software) changes to ensure accuracy and support equipment reliability.
  • Assist in scheduling and assigning Work Orders using CMMS, collaborating with supervisors and team leads.
  • Familiar with operation of CMMS and Spare Part Management Software.
  • Maintain critical tracking spreadsheets to support equipment operation and project implementation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Facilities, Maintenance, or related field with 2-4 years relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Facilities, Maintenance, or related field.
