Discovery Cube of Orange County is seeking an experienced Facilities Shift Lead to join our Facilities team. This role ensures the Museum stays clean, safe, and welcoming for guests and staff while guiding custodial staff during shifts.

You will coordinate daily cleaning tasks, support events, collaborate with Exhibits and Operations, monitor safety, and help maintain exhibits and public areas. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years custodial lead experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.
2-3 years custodial or janitorial experience.
Prior experience leading a team or coordinating work assignments preferred.
Proficient use of cleaning materials, methods and equipment used in janitorial service.
Understanding of hazards, accident prevention and safety practices for janitorial work.

Responsibilities

Serve as the lead Facilities team member during assigned shifts, providing direction and support to custodial staff.
Conduct walkthroughs of exhibit floors, restrooms and dining/picnic areas; adjust workflows accordingly.
Assign and prioritize daily cleaning tasks based on operational needs and guest traffic.
Ensure custodial standards and safety protocols are followed.
Monitor team performance and provide coaching and support as needed.
Communicate updates to Facilities management.
