Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; up to two years of custodial experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Must obtain Custodian certification from the Florida School Plant Management Association (FSPMA) within one year of appointment.
• All new hires must comply with Industrial Physical Capability Screening (IPCS) requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead custodial crews on major projects and seasonal facility work.
• Plan and coordinate daily custodial tasks; assign duties to staff and monitor quality of work.
• Maintain inventory levels; order supplies according to policy; coordinate equipment service/repair.
• Operate and supervise use of custodial equipment and chemicals safely according to OSHA standards.
• Open/close facilities daily; inspect grounds for hazards; ensure security systems and lighting are functioning.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain cleanliness and order in storage and work areas.
