Job summary

The Claremont Colleges Services is seeking a Lead Building Attendant to oversee custodial operations across TCCS facilities, ensuring clean, sanitary, and safe environments for students, staff, and visitors.

As lead for Building Attendants, you will coordinate schedules, train new staff, conduct inspections, and respond to safety concerns while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and consistent daily operations on site in Claremont, CA.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• 4–5 years of supervisory experience, including at least 1 year in custodial/janitorial in an educational setting.
• In-depth knowledge of custodial techniques and safety procedures.
• Ability to lead a team, train staff, and coordinate schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Building Attendants to maximize workforce efficiency and meet shift requirements.
• Train newly hired custodial personnel and monitor ongoing work.
• Inspect facilities and ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with standards.
• Oversee day-to-day custodial operations, scheduling, and reporting.
