Job summary

Pennsylvania College of Technology is seeking a Facilities Technician to support custodial, grounds, maintenance, and event coverage across all campus facilities. The role includes substitute custodial coverage, event setups, grounds maintenance, and minor repairs. Work hours are subject to change and may include evenings, weekends, and snow-related shifts.

Fridays through Tuesdays, 5 p.m. - 10 p.m., with on-call responsibilities during snow emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Must have or be willing to obtain forklift training prior to responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks, scissor lifts and forklifts.
• Assist trades with general maintenance tasks (electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC).
• Install/repair lighting systems and fixtures; framing and drywall work as needed.
• Perform routine groundskeeping: mowing, weed control, mulching, snow removal.
• Set up areas for College events and provide coverage as Attendant.
