Job summary

Penn College is seeking a versatile Facilities Technician to support custodial, grounds, maintenance and event coverage across College facilities. Schedule: Friday through Tuesday, 5 p.m.

– 10 p.m., with on-call during snow events and possible overtime. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license and experience in custodial work; familiarity with electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC maintenance is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience as a custodian preferred; maintenance and grounds experience preferred.
• Ability to use computer applications including work order systems and MS Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks, scissor lifts and forklifts.
• Assist with maintenance duties across trades (electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC).
• Assist with installation/repair of lighting systems and fixtures.
• Support groundskeeping: mowing, weed control, snow removal, mulching.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces, restrooms, and common areas.
• Set up spaces for College events and function as an Attendant.
• Move offices and equipment; assist with repairs to various structures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
