Job summary

Dallas County seeks a Maintenance Clerk to receive, process, and coordinate work orders and maintenance service requests. The role operates within a defined policy framework with moderate supervision.

Responsibilities include serving as the first contact for maintenance emergencies, notifying personnel, and maintaining a complex CMMS database. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and clerical experience, with typing proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited high school/GED Program.
  • Two (2) years of clerical related experience or 30 hours of college or a combination of the two.
  • Ability to type 30 wpm with knowledge of computer applications and standard word processing software.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, processes and coordinates work orders and maintenance service requests, for Dallas County.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for maintenance emergencies. Notifies appropriate personnel to respond to routine or emergency maintenance issues. Relays information regarding complaints and potential emergencies and to management.
  • Manages a complex database of work orders and maintenance service requests using the computer maintenance management system. Trains others in the use of the work order system.
  • Produces weekly reports related to construction activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
