Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is seeking a Facilities Senior Manager to lead a team of project managers and engineers in delivering complex construction, infrastructure, and design projects. The role focuses on ensuring safe, functional work environments and aligning with the Bank’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities include governing projects, managing budgets and schedules, and coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Degree in interior design, interior architecture, architecture, or related business field is strongly preferred.
• Typically requires at least nine years of related profession work experience, including Bank or equivalent leadership experience.
• At least five years of project management, space planning or interior design experience with overseeing project managers.
• Strong knowledge of building and life safety code standards and MEP systems.
• Experience managing industry consultants such as architects, engineers, and general contractors.
• Strong ability to interpret construction documents, design and project management skills.
• Strong problem solving, customer service, and written and oral communication skills.
• Budget and accounting principles knowledge; high initiative and multitasking capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to a team of project managers with construction, infrastructure, and design expertise.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues and clients.
• Oversee contracts, budgets, schedules, reporting, and stakeholder communications.
• Demonstrate Bank leadership competencies and guide department strategy.
• Coordinate development of business plans and accountability for results.
• Work with external vendors and consultants to execute diverse construction projects.
