Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older with a current driver's license and clean driving record to be covered on the KVH vehicle insurance.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous work experience in building maintenance/repair and/or the construction trades preferred.
• Prior security experience or training is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrols facilities and grounds to promote a safe and secure environment.
• Responds to emergencies such as combative or violent people, missing patients, fire alarms, elevator entrapments and crimes on campus.
• Enforces parking policies and issues warnings as necessary.
• Follows all facility and department policies and procedures.
• Responds to calls for assistance and provides vehicle assistance for patients, visitors and staff as appropriate.
• Gathers evidence and information for reporting criminal activity; may testify in court if required.
• Maintains effective communication and assists staff as needed.
• Monitors security cameras and coordinates with law enforcement when required.
• Performs maintenance and grounds duties to support hospital operations.
